Under the supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager this position is responsible for the lay-out, assembly, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring as well as, the maintenance of instrumentation equipment at City facilities in accordance with Provincial codes and regulations. The successful candidate will install, maintain, calibrate, program and service all meters, detectors, switches, controls, motor control circuits pertaining to electrical and instrumentation, digital controllers, microprocessors, computers, speed, pneumatic, and hydraulic controllers and devices, telemeter equipment and electronic devices.
The successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and Programmable Logic Controller ladder diagrams. The successful candidate will also be able to prepare cost estimates, preventative maintenance work schedules and assist with the preparation of budgets as they relate to electrical and instrumentation repair, maintenance and upgrades.
•Journeyman Industrial Electrician Certificate as recognized by the Province of Saskatchewan;•Instrumentation Technologist Diploma from a recognized technical institute and/or Saskatchewan Instrumentation Journeyman Trade Certificate (preference will be given to candidates who possess an Instrumentation Technologist Diploma);•Minimum two (2) years’ experience in similar maintenance duties;•Grade 12 education; and•Valid Driver’s License.
